Workers' Compensation in a Recovering Economy

Friday, March 19, 2010 - Louisville, KY

Sponsored by the ASSE Louisville Chapter.

Are you a human resources specialist, safety director, or business executive who has managed to survive the recent recession? If so, you’ve probably had to do more with less just to keep your business afloat.

The unfortunate reality is that many businesses switched into “survival mode” during the recession and abandoned strategies to address one of the most significant and manageable business expenses - workers’ compensation insurance.

This seminar provides proven strategies for small and large-sized businesses alike, based on the book “CHOMP COMP” (Complimentary copy provided to all attendees).

This concise, affordable seminar is for human resources specialist, safety directors, business owners, executives, and anyone in your company who has responsibilities relative to workers’ compensation.

Morning Session - ($35 includes breakfast)

Worker’s Compensation in a recovering economy will be presented by Barry S. Spurlock, MS, CSP. Barry is a dynamic and passionate speaker, a nationally respected expert on the topic of safety performance measurement, and coauthor of CHOMP COMP, The Small
Business Guide to Lower Workers’ Comp Premiums. (8:00 – 11:30 a.m)

Lunch Meeting - ($15 includes lunch)

Attendees for the morning session are welcome to remain for the monthly ASSE meeting, with guest speaker Todd B. Logsdon, who is a partner with the law firm Fisher & Phillips. Todd’s law practice focuses on discrimination, Family and Medical Leave Act and Occupational Safety and Health Administration issues. (11:30 – noon)
